Homewood Suites by Hilton San Antonio Airport

Absolutely horrible experience!!! Dirty room, sticky floor in kitchenette area, loose tiles in bathroom. We payed for 2 nights at the hotel, when we returned the 2nd evening our room was completely cleaned out!!! ALL of our belonging were GONE! We went to the front desk and they told us there was some mix up with the rooms and gave us SOME of our items. They threw all of our items into a big black garbage bag, mind you we are a family of 5, so there was a lot. When we went back to our room we realized there was tons of items still missing. I asked about the missing items and was told they may have been put into a lost and found area that no one could access! The staff called management over and over and not one manager answered. I called cooperate at midnight trying to get this mess sorted out. Mysteriously enough, my bag reappeared the next morning after the staff clocked in, apparently it was in "lost and found". My children were scared all night and did not sleep at all, it was an absolute terrible experience. The ONLY person that helped us that night was a maintenance man named Jesse, he felt terrible that this happened to us. A day manager came the next day and is currently attempting to make amends. I wouldn't let my dog stay at this hotel!

I stayed for a week, and the room was perfect. We had a 2 queen 1 bedroom suite on the 4th floor, and it was extremely spacious. 2 to 4 people would not feel cramped. We were low on supplies and toilet handle broken. However, it did not deter stay one bit. I chalk it to an issue with the room vs. hotel. Their fitness room, pool, and free breakfast/dinner had great options to stay healthy, do low carbs, or enjoy a good meal. Add in the fact that any staff we encountered were extremely friendly and helpful. I would say the location is great because you are close to the airport and in central SA. However, the area is older, and their are homeless. You are very safe, but something to be aware of

I’m So upset right now… How is a hotel going to kick you out because you asked them to get someone that talks English to clean your room. Really??? All the workers y’all have to do the cleaning up that I approached, swear up and down, “me don’t speak English.” I call downstairs to the front desk to request a English speaking individual & you want to blow the entire situation out of proportion! Like I’m asking y’all something crazy…. That’s the language I speak. I don’t care about race but last thing I checked , their should always be someone that can communicate. Then y’all got the nerve to tell me I need to leave y’all facility. Shame on you guys! This is America and English is the first language spoken. Period. If their not bilingual, why have them working there? I understand you are privately owed, but you need to step up and do better. This causes a communication barrier. Communication is the key on all perspective here. You don’t have to worry. I won’t be coming back here ever again with my family.

We only used your airport shuttle service. On the way to the airport our shuttle driver rear ended the vehicle in front of us. It bent your vans bumper so it was dragging on the front passenger side tire. Very unsafe. When we returned to San Antonio late night we called the phone number you provided us with and the call would go to some energy company in the Virgin Islands that was closed. This was when you pressed 1. Press 2 and 3 and you get a guy's voicemail that isn't taking calls. Finally by continually pressing 1 we finally got the front desk and a shuttle was sent to pick us up. Very frustrating, aggravating situation to be in. Would not recommend this service.
